OSEC Projects
OSEC is involved in many different projects. This is a jumping off point to see what is happening with those projects. Keep coming back.
 
2007-2008 Projects
Special Education
The Special Education Department at OSEC is growing by leaps and bounds. It's even big enough to get our own set of pages on the OSEC website. Follow this link to all that we are doing.
Gear Up is a US Department of Education funded grant that provides College readiness information to students, parents and schools. The project supports summer programs at the Middle School and High School Levels. Gear Up is a partnership between OSEC and the South Dakota State Department of Education
OSEC has been increasing activity in the area of school improvement. Stephanie Charging Eagle has been hired to help build this area of service to schools.
Technology Audits
OSEC has been providing technology audits and E-Rate consulting services to schools for over eight years.

Standards Development
OSEC is currently involved in working with Shannon County Schools to fuse Lakota Studies and Social Studies Standards together.
Classes
OSEC provides professional development classes to schools through partnerships with Sinte Gleska University and Oglala Lakota College.
Alternative AYP Eight OSEC Schools are currently working on development of an alternative definition for adequate yearly progress. The OSEC organization has been working with the schools to facilitate this process. This has included development of standards.
