The intent of our language system is to help our children to become Lakota/Dakota speaking individuals who can be good relatives, which provides identity as a Dakota/Lakota person.
The purpose of this web page is to provide on-going documentation to stakeholders regarding development and maintenance of the OSEC Oral Language Proficiency System that includes development of commonly held standards for Laktoa/Dakota/Nakota language, creation of an assessment process for those standards and information regarding professional development in the use of the standards and assessment tools.
